Custom Stained Glass and Metal Sculpture 'Free Spirit II'

This Stained Glass and Metal Sculpture has a story.

My customer asked if I could design a 3D stained glass panel that she could hang in her garden pergola. What a great idea! We worked together to select her colors drawing from the flowers in her garden.

Red/coral honeysuckle. Pink Rose of Sharon. Red roses. Black-eyed Susans.

Funny thing is that 'Free Spirit II' never made it to the garden.  It promptly became wall art in her home!

Dimensions:  36"w x 18"h x 2.5"d

Construction:  Each piece of glass is framed in zinc that has been puttied to protect it from the elements.  Solder embellishments were added for a little whimsy. The frame is made of steel and brass.  Black patina makes the colors pop.
